Online age verification checks have become more common as governments introduce laws to prevent minors from accessing restricted content. These systems often require users to submit personal details or identity documents before allowing access to certain websites. While intended for safety, many users are concerned about privacy and data storage risks associated with sharing sensitive information online. One way people address this issue is by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), which changes the user’s IP address and connects them through a different location. By routing traffic through a secure server, a VPN can sometimes bypass location-based age verification checks that rely on regional restrictions.
