📰 Top Story
Netflix wins exclusive U.S. rights for the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cups
FIFA has sold the U.S. media rights for the 2027 and 2031 Women’s World Cups to Netflix, marking the streamer’s most ambitious move into live sports. The deal covers both English- and Spanish-language coverage, though financial details were not shared. This is the first time the U.S. rights for the women’s tournament have been sold separately from the men’s event. Previous editions were carried by Fox and Telemundo under combined packages.

Reports indicate that FIFA had struggled to generate the interest it expected before entering exclusive talks with Netflix. With Brazil set to host the 2027 edition and the 2031 host still undecided, U.S. Soccer is expected to bid again for the 2031 tournament. If the U.S. wins hosting rights, viewership on Netflix would likely rise even further.
💻 Tool of the Week
Fix streaming errors thanks to VPN-smart tips
The article “Netflix VPN unblock proxy error” outlines why streaming apps sometimes block VPNs — often due to IP- or proxy-based restrictions. It also shows how the right VPN setup — including selecting a supported server, clearing browser cookies, or switching DNS settings — can help restore access while travelling or outside your region.
🌍 Travel Hack
If you travel abroad but want to catch a sports match or show you follow at home, use a VPN that’s known to work with your streaming provider. Connect to a server in your home country before starting the stream. That way, geo-blocking doesn’t hinder you — and you stay connected to your favourite content even on the go.
